Beneath the keep lies a natural cavity, transformed by man over the centuries. This mysterious area may hold the great secret of this legendary fortress. Opening days:
Last reception: 1 hour before closing time.
- March and October: Every day from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- April, May, June: Every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- September: Every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- July, August: Every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- November - December - January - February: School vacations (all zones) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. except 25/12 and 01/01.
Tariffs for Tours:
- Adults and children aged 18 and over: €9.50 per person
- Teens aged 13 to 17: €7.50 per person
- Children aged 6 to 12: €5.00 per person
- Under 6: free
- Tourist groups (20 persons or more) by appointment: €7.50 per person
- School groups (by appointment) Free accompanist for 10 children: €3.50 per person

Château de Bonaguil
Fumel Mentionné pour la première fois en 1271 dans un document qui fait état des possessions de Philippe III Le Hardi en Agenais, l'actuel château de Bonaguil doit toute sa splendeur à Bérenger de Roquefeuil (1448-1530), puissant feudataire du Quercy, qui en fit une des plus puissantes forteresses du royaume.
Rachetée au XVIIIe siècle par Marguerite de Fumel, la noble demeure s'embellit un peu plus prenant des allures moins austères que la Révolution mettra à bas par la destruction partielle des symboles jugés trop aristocratiques.
En 1860, la commune de Fumel se porte acquéreur du site et y poursuit encore de nos jours une véritable action de mécénat donnant aux nombreux visiteurs qui nous rendent visite chaque année la possibilité de découvrir un ensemble médiéval remarquable dans un état de conservation unique en France (barbacane, donjon, logis, caponnière, chicane, casemate, voûte en tas de charge...)
